Getting Involved in AC, UK

Our dedicated volunteer network

The AC is run by volunteers, whether that is taking an active leadership or team role, helping out at an event, writing a book review, or being an ambassador for the AC, they all play a part! Gifting their time, experience and skills, AC volunteers find many professional and developmental benefits from their contribution to the work of the AC.

Why volunteer with us?

We are enormously appreciative and grateful to all our volunteers and constantly receive feedback that the rewards of joining our dynamic community are certainly worth it. You will have the opportunity to:

  • work as part of a dynamic and diverse high performance professional team;
  • help to collectively create a lasting legacy for coaching in the UK;
  • access to high level networking opportunities across the AC global community;
  • raise your own personal and professional profile;
  • experience significant personal satisfaction through supporting AC members and the wider coaching profession.

Ways to get involved

The voluntary roles vary in type and level of commitment required.  All require you to be a self-starter with enthusiasm and energy.  For some roles no previous experience is needed, just an interest or desire to contribute for as little as a few hours a year or for a one-off project.  Other roles require some specific experience and some require a somewhat longer commitment.

Here are the broad areas where we often need more volunteer help.  Take a look and see what interests you.  Some AC members are even actively involved in more than one area.  Then get in touch for a no-obligatioin chat to find out more about joining our dynamic volunteer network. Note that all reasonable expenses are met.

Standards and Accreditation

We lead the way in supervision for coaching and are fully committed to raising the standards of coaching still further, including our suite of excellent accreditation for Coaches, Executive Coaches, Coach Training Providers and Coaching Supervisors. If you would like to be involved in quality standards, becoming an assessor or in any other way, please get in touch.

Professional Forums

The AC is the largest professional body for coaches in the UK and offers an exceptional and extensive range of developmental opportunities from Co-Coaching Groups through regional CPD events, master classes and conferences. If you would like to get involved in any of these events please get in touch.

We offer an extensive array of services and benefits to members and to further develop the benefit portfolio to meet the needs of our different categories of member. If you would like to make a difference to our members’ experience or are an innovative thinker and want to help us break new ground, please get in touch.

We aim to deliver outstanding communications to engage members, target new membership and promote the AC. If you have a talent in developing and implementing communication plans, social media, writing or digital marketing and could offer some time, please get in touch.

Sound financial management is therefore essential to ensure sustainability. If you have financial or accounts experience and could help we would love to hear from you, please get in touch.
